GAHS honors German Consul General, Herbert Quelle, with the 2018 Friedrich Hecker Freedom Award.

GAHS President, James Martin, presented the award at the organization’s 28th Annual black-tie Diplomatic Reception & Dinner on 10 March 2018 celebrating the founding of the German American Heritage Society of Saint Louis in 1990 at the Racquet Club-St. Louis.
